Joburg has a diverse food offering, it’s one of the reasons that it is such a great city, you can get great food from many different cultures cooked by people that were brought up in the origins of those foods. From Indian to Italian and everything in-between, you can enjoy it all. The standard of food is really high and is relative fairly affordable compared to the rest of the world. This weekend we saw something really exciting take place on the streets of Maboneng, the Visa Street Food Festival.
The offering of food was strong and diverse, like the rest of the city, and communal tables allowed you to grab a few different dishes and then enjoy them in the company of strangers, it was great. Delicious food, perfect weather, a good selection of dj’s to create the soundtrack and an array of drinks on offer. It was great to see the effort that each stall put into their food and it was even better to taste it. The Visa Street Food Festival is definitely going to be a key part of the food calendar!
