Baseline Skate Store

This premium independent skate store was founded in 1998 by Jonathan Muir and has been a part of the Cape Town skate scene since then. In 2011 after 13 years, Jonathan decide to move on and do something different but he wanted to hand the store down to someone who would respect and preserve the stores heritage.

That’s when Adrian Day and Clint van der Schyf stepped in and took over the store, moving it into a new direction whilst preserving the stores heritage. Baseline is now one of SA’s leading skateboarding and streetwear stores, housing international brands such as; Nike SB, Adidas, Vans, Levi’s, RVCA and Fourstar.

SHELFLIFE

Corner Store

Corner Store is one of the latest stores to open up in Cape Town and it is already making international news. Formed by 3 friends, Matthew of Sol Sol, Anthony of 2BOP and Anees Petersen of Yung Anned Lazy. The store came together through a vision all three partners had which was to create a space where creative individuals could meet and share their ideas. The ground floor is exclusively reserved for the shop and the floor upstairs has been turned into a workshop, where all the ideas get tested first, samples are made and where the final product is produced, and it goes straight downstairs to the consumers. The Corner Store has become a safe haven for all the culture vultures in Cape Town.

Superbalist

Superbalist which was formally known as Citymob, is an online style destination for South Africans and it launched in November 2013. The store gained a huge online presences within the world of e-commerce, catching the attention of retail giants Takealot.com who aquired the website in August 2014.
