PUMA x Daily Paper

Two of our favourite brands, both international with some local flavour, have hooked up for the first time for a pretty damn special collaboration. Footwear massive PUMA linked with Berlin-based, Africa-inspired streetwear brand Daily Paper, pulling on DP’s bold graphics and classic tailoring and PUMA’s colour sensibilities and silhouettes. The collection, executed in this lookbook by COPI, sought inspiration from Masaai cricketers – clean cutlines, colorblocking, and patterned trims that reflect the Masaai people and their history on the pitch. The first drop of the Puma x Daily Paper collection will be exclusively available on February 20th through Daily Paper’s... Read more

PUMA x Daniel Ting Chong

Now this is exciting. PUMA has collaborated with long-time favourite local designer Daniel Ting Chong to create two new sneaker iterations; a vintage Duplex OG and a modernized version – the Duplex Evo. The Cape Town based illustrator/designer took the opportunity to design what he felt were two distinctly African sneakers, drawing on his understanding of indigenous Zulu and Xhosa beliefs. According to PUMA and Chong, the earthy hued Duplex OG (R2 899) was inspired by Unkulunkulu, the Supreme Creator in traditional Zulu culture. The perforated upper consists of a premium nubuck suede completed by a debossed artwork of Unkulunkulu on... Read more

The Clyde Suits pack by PUMA honours Frazier’s signature style and iconic swagger. The pack features two styles, decked in a zebra and cow animal print leather reminiscent of Frazier’s designer suits and fur coats. The... Read more

PUMA Suede | Rae Sremmurd

The Puma Suede has been around since 1968, creating a benchmark for footwear design, and maintaining its place as a cultural artifact from one of the most progressive and historically significant eras of the twentieth century.  It got famous by via ’60s trackstar Tommie Smith and ’70s basketball legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier, and then really took off during the NYC ’80s dawn of b-boys and hip hop. It went on to find its place amongst punk kids and skaters during the ’90s, and these days you’ll see heads wear the Suedes in their cozy sweat chinos or pin-rolled jeans and... Read more
