Bateleur Release New Album Via Mountain Installation

We knew Bateleur was going to town with their long-anticipated self-titled LP release, but now that its been unveiled, they’ve way outdone themselves. Revealed in a short explanatory video below, the band has dropped Bateleur this morning – and, well, it takes a bit of effort. Simply put, the brains in the band fashioned a solar-powered listening device that they’ve installed on Table Mountain near the first beacon at the lookout atop Table Mountain’s Kloof Corner hiking route entitled ‘The Nest’. Have no buttons, The Nest is activated via a ‘tweet-twoot’ whistle. Once triggered, you can plug in your earphones... Read more

Bateleur Release ‘Mendota Sky’

This morning Bateleur released their long-anticipated music video for ‘Mendota Sky’, lead single and forerunner to their eponymous release due on the 4th of December. We were ready to mourn the loss of the six-piece, until we gladly received news of their appearance on the lineup for Endless Daze next month. And then? The unthinkable happened. This afternoon the band teases the release of ‘Mendota... Read more
