Medusa X Nirvana Nokwe

South Africa’s entertainment industry suffers not from a lack of talent, and Nirvana Nokwe is an example of that. Having set foot in the industry from the ripe age of 4, Nirvana has progressively broadened her talents, specialising as a musical artist, actress and filmmaker.

“I’m inspired by love, experience and honesty. Usually when I’m writing a song it comes with the melody and it comes to me, I don’t schedule a time for it. It’s like abrupt text messages/voice notes from my subconscious.”
She intends to put her best foot forward with her artistic output, and get people to dig into their emotional boxes, riling up any kind of emotion to release it.

“Medusa is a song I wrote heartshattered. And I really wanted be as honest as I could be – when people go through heartbreak, some resort to hate. Thus the outro ‘Medusa, Medusa’. Love is a liberatin thing. It should be kept that way whether together or apart. I just wanted to be that reflection you know – to make the love/hate thing evident and hopefully get people to be more peaceful and caring with their relationships. So if Medusa could get as many plays as possible, that would be great”

Take a listen to the mellow and heartfelt single!
