Named for the Moroccan city of Marrakech, Margot Molyneux’s latest collection, Mara, is inspired by the curved silhouettes and entwined structures of North Africa’s Ksar architecture, and the rich, vivid colours of the modern culture that surrounds
this ancient world.
Says founder and head designer, Margot Molyneux, “We love the fluidity of this style of architecture and the way that its functional spaces are seamlessly connected to one another. We have attempted to carry this fluency of form into our new range through the use of gentle contours, soft, lush fabrics and elegant detailing.”
Mara features luxurious ochre, green, navy, ruby, yellow, black, white and grey, and showcases soft shawl collars, back frills on coats, gathered waistlines, jet pockets, and flared sleeves and hemlines. It is also the label’s first collection to include knitwear.
