H&M Opens Sports Store In Sandton City

H&M have come in strong with their low cost fashion that South Africans have embraced very quickly, now they are here with their sports store to meet the needs of the active South Africa.

The one-of-a-kind-store presents the full H&M Sports Collection for men and women. Hailed for

quality at an affordable price in a sustainable way, H&M Sports offers functional pieces in vivid

colours that look as good on the street as they do in the gym. New technical fabrics that feel like

cotton offer both performance and comfort, stretching the limits of active wear style.

Women can look forward to loose and body-fitted tanks in pink or blurred black and white

graphic prints. Fitness tights strut in bold zig-zag stripes and in all-over prints with shape-defining

waists. Made from quick dry functional fabrics, they are trimmed with reflective patches and

specialized sports detailing.

For men, training gets a new attitude with quick dry t-shirts and performance tights in black, grey and

blue melange or nature-inspired all-over prints. Long-sleeved training tops are quick-drying and

breathable, whilst technical training shorts have a cotton-like feel for comfort. Seamless and

featherlight running T-shirts, a zip-up jacket and a gilet are all equipped with technical layers for when

the weather cools.

According to Pär Darj, Country Manager for H&M South Africa, “There is a great demand from South

Africans for comfortable sportswear that looks good and is made of great quality fabrics. This is the

perfect opportunity for H&M Sport to provide customers with fashionable and easy to wear apparel.”

The store is situated in shop U45 on the upper-level of Sandton City shopping centre and will open it’s

doors at 09h00 on Friday 29 January 2016.
