Dickies link up with Habitat for Humanity

Dickies collaborated with NGO Habitat for Humanity to bring their seasonal campaign of #BuildThisCity to life. Guests were transported to Isiboniso Secondary School in Orange Farm where they were warmly welcomed by the School Principal and Founder. Isiboniso Secondary School is attended from Grade 1 to Grade 7 and relies heavily on donations from the Government and surrounding communities.

After a quick introduction of the day’s proceedings, as well as a welcome song from the students, volunteers were split into 2 teams who would be contributing in improving the school facilities in different ways. One team would be painting classrooms and the other would assist in building a jungle gym. Volunteers spent the afternoon measuring, digging, sawing, bonding, painting, as well as interacting with students. The marriage of Dickies and Habitat for Humanity for the day was successful.

The brand ethos of both partners was realized. Habitat for Humanity, in their aim to bring community and companies together to help uplift the community, and Dickies, Building The City in a literal sense through the support of company and influencer volunteers reminding us that time is often the greatest charitable commodity.
