Books books books…

I love reading. Not very many people do. What is most enthralling about this pastime is the actual tactile thing called a ‘book’ which you hold in you hands while doing this activity called ‘reading’. If you love books as much as I do, then you will love this bookstore, Brunswick Bound. Except you can’t visit it unless you are going to Melbourne some time soon. I am not going to Melbourne, but the exciting part is that, with the help of some second-hand books and super glue, I can bring a little part of this bookstore into my own home.

Surely a book has more value in being read than turned into a object d’art? I prefer the book chair – http://decomodo.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/bibliochasechair.jpg – which has great form without losing the book’s original function.

Too too true Bennie! I guess the idea is that you can surround yourself, in many interesting ways, with the things that you love.

PS: I used to love Bennie Boekwurm – He brings back memories of Ouma se huis, with wicker chairs and too many sweet things.
